Roy L Shank

SHANK, Roy L. age 94 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday March 17, 2009 at the Otterbein Home following an illness. He was born March 26, 1914 in Jefferson Twp., son of the late Howard & Laura (Moats) Shank. Roy was the owner of R.L. Shank Construction, was a life member of the ATA and was an avid bowler. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; one daughter Loretta Kincaid; 2 sons-in-law David Kincaid and Robert Cohen, and one brother Earl Shank. Surviving Roy are 4 daughters Laura Fulton, Sharon Profitt, Marsha Schreier, Yvonne Cohen; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and his dear neighbors Bonnie & Reuben Meeks. It was Roys wish that his body be cremated and a graveside service for family and friends will be held Friday March 20 at 1:00pm at Poplar Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Otterbein Home Memorial Fund in Roys memory. Arrangements in care of Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
