Roy Thompson

THOMPSON, Roy, age 87, of Troy, formerly of Tipp City, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born September 20, 1931 in Logan Co., West Virginia, son of the late John C. & Weltha (Mullins) Thompson. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty, one son, Shawn and his grandson, Roy Allen, Roy is survived by 3 brothers, Earl, Robert & Darrell Thompson; 3 sons, Cecil, Fred (Cindy), and Timothy Thompson and his daughter, Cynthia Kister; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Lynnette, Jessica, Jamie, Betty & Stanley; 10 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Kylie, Kelsey, Lindsey, Carter, Carson, Brayden, Kaylee & Serinity; his dear friend, Helen Church, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 10 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 pm.
