Ruby Howard

HOWARD, Ruby R. (Yount), age 63 of Union, formerly of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 24, 2007 at the Harborside Nursing Center in Dayton following an illness. She was born August 21, 1943 in Hamilton, daughter of the late Robert & Evelyn (Bowman) Yount. She was a retired employee of Cardiology Specialists of Dayton and was a member of a local businesswomens club. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. She was preceded in death by her son Jack R Howard Jr. on February 2, 2007 and by one sister. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Jack R Howard Sr., one daughter Robbin & husband Steve Smith; one grandson Brian Weiss; 2 brothers Claude Michael & wife Kay Warnock and David Warnock and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 27 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Charles Betts officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening (TODAY) from 5 to 8pm.
