Russell G. Mathis Sr.

MATHIS Russell G. Sr. age 58 of Phillipsburg, went to be with his Lord on Thursday July 26, 2012. Russ was born February 15, 1954 in Dayton. He was a member of the Living Word Church. Russ is survived by his wife Debbie; his parents Norman & Patricia Mathis; 3 sons Gregory (Kathy), Russell Jr. (Kerry), Barry (Charlotte); 5 granddaughters Abbigayle, Samantha, Issabella, Alyssa, and Sophia; 6 brothers & sisters Debra, Rodney, April, Norman, Tim, and Gail and a host of other close friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday July 30 at 10:00am at the Living Word Church 926 E. National Rd. Vandalia with Pastor Pat Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday evening from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Russell Mathis Memorial Fund at any 5/3 Bank location.
