Ruth A. Hilderbran

HILDERBRAN, Ruth A., age 72 of Vandalia, passed away in Hospice of Dayton, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born June 14, 1937 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Clyde & Mary Penrod. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. In recent years, Ruths physical ability was quite limited, however she was an invaluable source of love, wisdom and guidance for her family. Preceded in death by her son, Dale Hilderbran and 1 sister, Betty Metzger, Ruth is survived by her husband of 55 years, Floyd of Vandalia; children, Jay Hilderbran (Mary) of Johnstown, OH and Lori Halsey (Tracy) of Union; 4 grandchildren, Kara Hilderbran of Troy, Katherine (Hilderbran) Locker of Troy, Brianna & Gabriel Halsey; 1 sister, Charlotte Copp of Troy and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 15 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. Ruth was also an avid supporter of St. Judes Childrens Hospital and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Hospice of Dayton in Ruths memory.
