Ruth E Holland

HOLLAND, Ruth Elizabeth, age 90 of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 21, 1918 in West Milton, daughter of the late Earl & Vinnie Jacobs. She was a member of the First Grace Brethren Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, 1 sister, Rena Jacobs, 3 brothers, Marvin, Merle & Don Jacobs, Ruth is survived by 1 daughter, Beverly Holland & husband, Earl Pittman of Vandalia; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Terry & Carolyn Holland of Mission, TX & Ron & Cindra Holland of Dayton; her twin sister, Reva Shaffer of Vandalia; 8 grandchildren, Angela, Randy, John, Jason, Brett, Bryce, Kathleen & Isaac; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 7 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Mark Saunders & Pastor Forrest Jackson officiating. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday (TODAY) from 5-8 pm.
