Ruth D. Holsinger

HOLSINGER, Ruth D., age 84 of New Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born February 24, 1928 in Portsmouth, OH, daughter of the late John & Edna (Viars) Synder. Ruth was a retired employee of A.O. Smith with 30 years of service and was a past member of the Tipp City Eagles Ladies Auxilary and the O.E. S. Tipp City Chapter. Preceded in death by her son, Gregory E. Goodwin and 1 brother, Gordon Snyder, Ruth is survived by her daughter, Judith Harmon of New Carlisle; her son, Robert Bob Goodwin & wife, Sandy of Fairborn; 5 grandchildren, Chet Brock, Tiffany (Brock) Williams, Hunter Goodwin, Kyle Goodwin & Mary (Goodwin) Stephens; 1 sister, Alma Coyle and 1 brother, Lewis Synder. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 30 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ruths memory.
