MOORE, Ruth E., age 90 of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1922 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late George F. & Ida (Suhr) Stallman. Ruth was a member of the St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Vandalia Lioness Club. She retired after serving as the Curator of the Amateur Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame for 18 years. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Moore Sr., one son Gary; one grandson, Charles Pearson, two brothers, George Stallman Jr. & Carl Stallman; and 1 sister, Alice King. She is survived by one son, William J. (Vicki) Moore of Vandalia; 3 daughters Linda Pearson of Miamisburg, Connie (Andrew) Davidson of Tipp City, Patricia (Dean) Peters of Vandalia; 8 grandchildren Michael (Jeannie) Moore, Robert (Sheila) Pearson, Denise Moore, Cora and Lee Davidson, Lauren, Nicholas and William Peters; 7 great-grandchildren Sydney, Sierra and Talon Pearson, Lilly and Audrey Pearson, Elise and Elijah Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 23, at 1:00 pm at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. National Rd. Vandalia with Pastor Gil Santiago officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am until time of service. Following the services the family will be having a reception in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ruths memory. Arrangements in care of Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
