Ruth M. Trout

TROUT, Ruth M. age 94 of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Laurels of Huber Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. Ruth was born August 16, 1919 in Gallipolis, OH, daughter of the late George W. & Fannie B. (Wolf) Young. Ruth was a former 50 year member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a current member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple and a member of the Vandalia Senior Citizen's "Senior Sewers." Preceded in death by her husband, French V. Trout in 1986, 1 son, Larry Trout, 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Ruth is survived by her daughter, Kay Shoup (Bruce) of Tipp City; 1 sister, Marguerite Cochran, 2 grandsons, Dean Shoup (Cheryl) & Robert Shoup (Vicki); 4 great-grandsons, Jared Shoup (Jessica), Aaron Shoup (Beth), Brian Shoup (Heather), Kevin Shoup (Megan); 7 great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Braden, Carter, Gavin, Parker & Max, 1 great-great-granddaughter, Sydney, along with a host of other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 12 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Rick Washburn officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Baptist Temple in Ruth's memory.
