Sandy I. Solarik

SOLARIK, Sandy I. (Stine), age 62 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 30, 1954 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Charles A. & Lillian A. (Strong) Eggenschwiller. Preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Stevenson, Sandy is survived by her husband of 16 years, Larry Solarik; 2 daughters, Holly Hall & Abbey Eyler, step-children, Kendra Potts (Brendan), Kelly Chinn (Keith) and Shawn Solarik (Trisha); 7 grandchildren, Alexandra Elam, Nickolas Stine, Zackary Eyler, Makenzie Chinn, Austin Potts, Kaleigh Potts & Silas Solarik; 2 brothers, Don & Carl Eggenschwiller; 1 sister, Susan Phipps; and a wonderful extended family and friends. Sandy was a longtime employee of J & L Wood Products, and was an avid cook and gardener. She had a passion for fishing that she shared with her grandchildren and spent countless hours volunteering at the Needy Basket in Tipp City. Funeral services for Sandy will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 6 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday (3/5) from 2-4 pm.
