Sarah J. White

WHITE, Sarah Jane age 91 of Miamisburg passed away Monday, August 28, 2018 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born May 23, 1926 in Versailles, KY daughter of the late William & Margaret (Moffitt) White. A caring woman of faith, she loved spending time with family and friends. An avid Polaroid photographer, Sarah enjoyed arts & crafts, playing bingo, watching her favorite shows on television, and listening to gospel music. Sarah truly cherished holidays, especially Christmas, decorating and preparing meals for family.

Preceded in death by one brother, Bobby White and three sisters, Ann Pierce, Betty McNutt, and Peggy Waltz, and her two loyal dogs Muffy and Reno. Sarah is survived by two sisters, Virginia Myers and Joyce Spain; one brother, Bill White; her best friend for 79 years, Phyllis Palmer, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday September 2, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev Mike Malcosky officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Sarah’s memory.
