Scott A. Smith

SMITH, Scott A., age 63 of Clayton, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 23, 1952 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Norman E. & Irene (Runkle) Smith. Scott was a 1970 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School, a graduate of Miami University, and was retired from WPAFB.

Scott is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia (Rhee) Smith; 2 children, Matthew Smith (Ashley) of Columbus, and Robin Shank (Jared) of Beavercreek; 2 grandchildren, Peyton Smith & John Scott Shank; 1 brother, David L. Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 6, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Jay McMillen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Scott’s memory.
