Sharon Kay (Meyers) Elliott

Sharon Kay Elliott (Meyers, Mitman)

Age 80, of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the Oaks of West Kettering. Sharon was born May 10, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman Meyers, Mary Ellen Meyers (Brady) & Jessie Meyers, adoptive parents Charles & Mildred Mitman and two siblings Larry Meyers-Tanner and Melanie Sue Meyers.

For many years she worked at Vandalia-Butler School System as secretary to the assistant principal for and then moved on to the Board of Education. Later she was employed by the Vandalia-Butler Drummer newspaper.

Sharon is survived by three children, Joy Tancey (Mark), Barbara Rader (Michael) and David Elliott; granddaughters, Courtney Rader (Patrick) and Kristin Elliott-Neer (Nathan); great grandson, Lucian; and by two siblings, Rick Meyers (Carlene) and Tina Solis.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Sharon’s cremated remains will be buried at Medway Cemetery.
