Shelley Brown

Shelley J Carver Brown, long-time resident of Vandalia, passed away suddenly June 8, 2019, at home.  She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on May 2, 1955.  Shelley was preceded in death by her daughter Jessica Danielle Brown, her father David Carver, her brother John Carver, brother in-law Robert Brown, father in-law George Brown, and son-in-law, Tavis Postell.

Shelley is survived by her husband of 45 years Ronald Brown, mother Betty Carver, mother in-law Beulah Brown, daughter Erin Brown, daughter Courtney Gorsuch (Christopher), grandchildren Gabrielle Postell, Mason Postell, Bailey Postell, Nicholas Gorsuch, Keeton Gorsuch, great granddaughter Anessa Blakely, sister Deena Casada, brother Steve Carver (Kathy), sister Kelly Macy (Tom), countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Shelley met her high school sweetheart, Ron Brown, while attending Vandalia Butler High School.  She was happiest when surrounded by her family.  Shelley was the glue that held her family together, our matriarch.  Shelley brought an infectious joy to everyone’s lives and leaves behind a legacy of love.  Shelley J Brown will be forever missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday June 12 from 11 am – 1 pm, funeral services to follow immediately.  Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
