Shirley A. Wells

WELLS, Shirley Ann (Rudy), age 87 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016. Mrs. Wells was a loving wife and mother who was a faithful member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James W. Wells, as well as by many family members and friends.

Shirley is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rudy and Rebecca of Dayton and James and Connie of West Alexandria; grandchildren, Charlotte, Andrew, Zachary, Ethan and Jacob; special nephew, David Bitzer and niece, Ann Stackhouse and husband, Don and children, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 6 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vandalia-Butler Food Pantry, the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind or to Hospice of Dayton in Shirley’s memory.
