Steven A. "Steve" King

Age 76 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital after a brief illness. Steve was born September 30, 1948 in Lima, Ohio, son of the late Charles & Margaret King. Steve attended St. Joseph school in Wapakoneta, and graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1966. He joined the US Navy Reserves, where he proudly served for six years. Steve was owner of The Service Group Truck Wash in Dayton, Ohio for 43 years. 

Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cathy Scheblo, Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sharon; his sister, Jane; his daughter, Stephanie Duncum (John); son, Scott King (Tammie); grandchildren, Josie King, Steven King (Maggie), Brooke Duncum and Emma Duncum; great-grandchildren, Jane and Eleanor; along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Murphy. 

Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, vacationing in Key West, going fishing, detailing cars and trucks, and maintaining a meticulous lawn.

In his eternal life, with us in spirit forever, rest in peace.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
