Susan Maye Tomlinson

Age 77, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at The Hospice of Dayton. Susan was born September 25, 1946 in Hillsdale, Michigan to the late Thomas & Johann (Jacobs) Cosby. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Dane Tomlinson, Sr. in 2006; two children, Bruce Dane Tomlinson, Jr. in 2000 and Anna Tomlinson in 1964.

 Susan was an avid reader, especially crime dramas. She loved to cook and garden, often canning her own produce. Above all she was a dedicated matriarch.

 Susan is survived by two children, Timothy Tomlinson and Regina Henning & her husband, Bill Henning; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin (Dakota), Christian (Nikki), Zachary (Olivia), Shania (Alex), Garrett, Evan & Jacob; four great grandchildren, Joseph, Ezra, Theo & Rowan; two siblings, Michael Cosby (Flame) & Melinda Tong (Tom); and by her extended family & many good friends.

 The family will be receiving friends & family from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 27, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 pm with Deacon Charles Wright officiating. 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Susan to St. Jude Hospital.
