Teddy J. "Ted" Laughter

LAUGHTER, Teddy J. “Ted” age 76 of Vandalia, passed away Saturday January 11, 2020 at his residence following a lengthy illness.  Ted was born September 3, 1943 in Dayton, son of the late Harold & Pauline (Magruder) Laughter.  He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post# 668.  Ted was a retired inspector and job setter from General Motors.  He was preceded in death 3 siblings Wanda Johnson, Jack Laughter, and Diane Miller.  Ted is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Pam; 2 sons James and wife Anna Laughter of Dayton and Joe Laughter of Vandalia; one sister Linda & husband Andy Papanek of Miamisburg; one brother Robert “Bob” & wife Judy Laughter of Vandalia; 4 grandchildren Briana, Jana, Madison, and Jase and a host of other relatives and friends.  A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 7pm on Wednesday January 15 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Mr. John Seagraves officiating.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00pm until the time of service.  If so desired, contributions may be made to Day City Hospice in Teds memory.
