Terri Burton

Teresa Lynn (Fricke) Burton, age 60, of Tipp City, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on August 8, 2020.  She battled health issues for some time but her fight was relentless and her loving spirit was an inspiration.  Her passing was sudden and unexpected.

Terri was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 15, 1960.  She is the daughter of the late Donald and Beatrice Fricke.  She is survived by her son Jason (Jamie) Price, daughter Samantha (Benjamin) Volz Arden, and grandchildren, Kian, Kade, Kylan, Jacob, Hunter and Brody.  Terri is also survived by her siblings Jim Fricke, Susan (Robert) McGee, Linda (Ronald) Bice, Donald (Darlene) Fricke and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.  She is preceded in death by her spouse Larry and her sister Pamela Gapen.  Terri had many friends, too many to recognize but we know their hearts were touched by her love and companionship throughout the years of her life.

She grew up in Huber Heights, Ohio and attended Wayne High School.  She was extremely creative and artistic and no one could grow flowers and fix sick plants better than her. Terri cherished her children and loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed reading, cooking and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a follower of her Savior Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday September 15, 2020 from 4 – 7 PM at the First Church of The Nazarene, 7031 North Main Street, Dayton, Ohio. 4pm to 5pm will be the Friends and Family Visiting Hour; 5pm to 6pm will be the Celebration of Life Service, and 6pm to 7pm will be a time of Food and Fellowship in the Family Life Center Building (across the church parking lot)  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, Ohio.  To leave condolences visit mortonwhetstonefh.com.
