Thomas L. Benedict

Age 80, loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully January 3rd, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Fishers Indiana.

He was born November 4, 1938 to the late Rose Irene and Frank J. Benedict I in Ashland, Wisconsin. Resident of Fishers Indiana, previously West Chester and Kettering Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Ray Benedict; wife Marvel Benedict of 47 years; daughter Kimberly Culp and grandson Jeremy Wildermuth.

He is survived by his daughter Kristy Umana (Husband Greg); grandchildren, Joshua Wildermuth (Wife Andrea), Jessica Myers (Husband Dave), Luke Umana (Wife Hannah), Brittany, Erika and Andrew Umana; great grandchildren Destiny and Devin Welch; numerous family and friends.

He dedicated his entire career and services to Eaton Corporation (Cutler-Hammer) as Industrial Controls and Sales Engineer until his retirement. He and his wife Marvel enjoyed dancing, living life to the fullest and traveling the world. He was a master problem solver and served at a mentor in many capacities to many family, friends and acquaintances. He felt his purpose in this earth was to help others in any capacity that he could.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45459 Celebrated by Rev. Fr. Brian Phelps. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery, in Centerville, Ohio.

Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
