Thomas A. Chinn

CHINN, Thomas A. Tom , age 59 of Tipp City, passed away Saturday June 18, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital following an illness. Tom was born February 12, 1952 in Dayton, OH. He was a member of Amvets Post#99, former member of VFW Post# 9583 and American Legion Post# 668 and was a Jims Donut Shop veteran. Tom loved riding his Harley, boating, playing cards and anything else that would let him spend time with the people he cared about. His family and friends were the focus of his life. Tom was preceded in death by his father Wayne A. Chinn. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Evelyn (Knoop) Chinn; his children Keith A. & wife Kelly Chinn of Vandalia, and Danielle M. & husband Dean Thomas of New Carlisle; his mother Barbara Chinn of Huber Heights; 2 brothers James W. & wife Nicole Chinn of Tipp City and Donald O. & wife Elaine Chinn of West Milton; 4 grandchildren Grant Heckman, Corinne Thomas, Makenzie Chinn, Larkin Thomas; and a host of many great friends and loved ones and Sadie. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 22 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America 15 S. Franklin St. New Ulm, NM 56073 in Toms memory.
