Thomas A. Roderer

RODERER, Thomas A ., age 75 of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born November 3, 1941 in Dayton, OH, son of the late George & Nellie Roderer. He was a graduate of Campion High School in WI and was a 1963 graduate of the University of Dayton. Thomas was the Owner & Operator of Roderer Shoes for 51 years, was a longtime member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joan in 2004, his sister, Joan and brother-in-law, Steve Vargas, Thomas is survived by his 3 sons, Michael & wife, Denise, John & wife, Maria and David & wife, Rachel; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca, Andrew, Sebastian & Leo; one sister, Judy Cox & husband, Don; special friend, Carolyn Rathweg; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 1 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd., Vandalia with Rev. Fr. John Tonkin officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday evening at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.
