Thomas W. Royse

Age 75, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Upper Valley Medical Center. Tom was born May 8, 1949, in Dayton to the late Raymond & Sarah (Covington) Royse. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond (Jr.), Harold “Shorty” & Robbie Royse; and by his brothers-in-law, Larry Lee & Bob “Rob” Wolfe. 

 Tom attended West Point Military Academy and served in the U. S. Army. He retired from General Motors with 30 years of service and later served as a consultant for General Motors for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and loved playing Euchre. He was always available to help his friends & family in any way needed. He will be remembered as a “gentle giant.”

 Tom is survived by his loving wife of the past 56 years, Janice C. (Bigos) Royse; three brothers, Ralph (Janet), Lloyd & Paul (Kim) Royse; sisters-in-law, Carol Royse, Judy Lee & Cathy Wolfe; brother-in-law, Anthony (Debbie) Bigos; and by his extended family & many good friends.

 The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Tom’s brother, Rev. Ralph Royse, officiating. Interment will follow at West Charleston Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Tom to the donor’s favorite charity.
