Travis M. Massie

MASSIE, Travis Michael, January 25, 1981 " August 17, 2007. Travis Massie, beloved father, son, brother and friend departed from his life into the arms of God on August 17, 2007 in Tuscumbia, AL. Travis was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Vandalia Butler High School in 1999, where he was a talented and recognized soccer player. He held a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. After high school, he attended Wright State University and Wallace State College. Travis was a devoted soccer fan, player, and coach and had a passionate love of the game. He was a junior partner with Ball Roofing Company. We will always remember his sense of humor, kind and generous heart, and his love for people and family. Travis was loved by everyone that he met. Travis leaves to mourn his passing, an infant son, Liam Vetesy Massie, his father and mother, Tim and Diane Massie, his brother and sister in law, Tim and Sheli Massie and their four children, Avery, Kennedy, Kaiden and Emerson, his sister and brother in law, Tracie and Denny Burton and their daughter Sophia, his grandmother, Betty Ford, and his girlfriend, Jessica Bonner and her daughter Heather Ogletree. He had numerous family and friends. He will be loved and missed and remain forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 1 until 3 P.M. at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. His memorial service will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Garverick officiating
