MacAlpine, Tyler K. age 21 of Butler Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 21, 2015. He was born April 24, 1993 in Dayton, son of Ty and Kathy (Kesselring) MacAlpine. Tyler was a member of St Christopher Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Butler High School and MVCTC Class of 2012. He had participated in the ROTC program while at MVCTC and was active in the NRA. Tyler was enrolled in the apprenticeship program with Ironworkers Local #290. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Rose & Kenneth MacAlpine and maternal grandfather William Kesselring. Tyler is survived by his parents; one sister, Nicole MacAlpine; maternal grandmother Nancy Kesselring; aunts Debbie MacAlpine, Cindy (Al) Barlow, Susan (Tom) Beery; uncles Mike (Teri) Kesselring, Kyle (Mison) Kesselring, and Kelli Kesselring; girlfriend Jessica Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday February 26 at 11:00am at St Christopher Catholic Church 435 E. National Rd. Vandalia, with Fr Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday February 28 in the Christian Memorial Cultural Center Cemetery in Speaker Twp., MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at the church from 4:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Butler Foundation in memory of Tyler MacAlpine (envelopes will be available at the church).
