Tyrone D. Crumrine

CRUMRINE, Tyrone D. age 76 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 at his residence following an illness. He was born July 8, 1940 in Dayton, son of the late Paul & Thelma (Bowman) Crumrine. Ty was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a retired employee of Ohio Bell with 25 years of service and was a member of the Pioneers. Ty enjoyed spending time looking for treasures with his metal detector. He had a love of maps and was always quick to offer his assistance to family and friends to help “map” out their trips. To his family, he was “Mr Fix-It” who could fix almost anything and he especially enjoyed tinkering in the garage. He had a love for computers, flying kites, NHRA, and motocross. Ty was preceded in death by one brother Dale L. Crumrine. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Phyllis M. Crumrine; his children Dawn Fryer of Huber Heights, Michael Fryer of Huber Heights, Dean & wife Jackie Fryer of El Paso, TX., Kim & husband Brian Denney of Kettering; sister Darlene and husband Burl Keesee; brother Paul Gary Crumrine; 8 grandchildren Sean Sherwood, Christopher Sherwood (USAF), Jessica Fryer, Thomas “T.J.” Fryer (USMC), Lynnox Fryer, Tori Denney, Canton Denney, Crosley Denney; one great-grandson Jaxx Cyphers; dear friends and neighbors Jerome “Jerry”, Joyce, and Jake Willoughby and Tyler Brown and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday May 20, 2017 at 3:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00pm until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ty’s memory.
