Verna Irene Willis

WILLIS, Verna Irene age 89, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Grandview Hospital. She was born October 22, 1921 in Nelsonville, OH, daughter of the late Samuel & Carrie Reynolds. Verna was a retired employee of the Frigidaire Corporation. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Verna is survived by her husband, John; 1 brother, Samuel Reynolds (Donna) of Dayton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 25 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in Vernas memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
