Veronica Metzger

METZGER, Veronica L. (Grillot), age 87 of the Koester Pavilion in Troy, passed away peacefully, Saturday March 10, 2007 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born December 13, 1919 in Osgood, OH, daughter of the late Alfred J. and Anna Emma (Layman) Grillot. Mrs. Metzger was preceded in death by her former husband Raymond B. Metzger Sr., one daughter Anna M. Metzger, and 5 brothers. She is survived by her children Mary (Bill) Lawson, John (Cindy) Metzger, Shirley Reed, Kathleen (William) Doyle, Esther (Tim) Lloyd, and Raymond (Pat) Metzger; one brother Marion (Emily) Grillot; one sister Gertrude Glaser; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 13 at 2:30pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30pm until time of service. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Koester Pavilion who gave her outstanding care.
