POHLMAN, Veronica M., age 86, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Hearth & Home of Vandalia. She was born October 8, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of the late Thomas C. & Elizabeth J. Gootee. Veronica was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City. Preceded in death by her husband, Phillip in 1999, Veronica is survived by 1 son, Thomas & wife, Sandi Pohlman of Tipp City; 2 daughters, Ruth Ann & husband, Fred Raab of NC and Dr. Susan & husband, Dr. Allan Nickel of TX; 11 grandchildren, Terry & husband, John Prass, Bill & wife, Caryl Martin, Mike & wife, Emily Dillon, Shannon & wife, Michelle Martin, Jennifer, Andrew, Rebecca, & Alexander Raab, Erin & husband, Justin Scarf, Laura & Brian Nickel; 11 great-grandchildren, Phillip, Alexa, Courtney, Billy, Rebecca, T.J., Robert, Elizabeth, Katie, Trinity & Bryce; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City with Fr. Mark Sherlock officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hearth & Home of Vandalia, 55 Great Hill Dr., Vandalia on Friday (TODAY) from 6:30-7:30 pm.
