Virginia M. Curtis

CURTIS, Virginia M. age 89 of Dayton, passed away Thursday November 28, 2013 at the Genesis Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was born August 24, 1924 in Campbellsville, KY daughter of the late Alexander & Myrtle (Moxley) Elliott. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Max; one grandson James C. Brown and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Harry & wife Patricia Hanna, Patricia & husband Fred Brown, and Debbie & husband Travis Eskew; 8 grandchildren Kim, Mike, Jessie, Jackie, Travis, Ronnie, Genia, Teresa; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday Dec. 2 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Tom Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Miami County Hospice in Virginia's memory. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff at the Genesis Health Care Center and Miami County Hospice for their loving care of Virginia throughout her illness.
