Virginia "Ginny" Erbaugh

ERBAUGH, Virginia L., “Ginny,” age 74 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018. She was born January 29, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond & Marie (Churchill) Wyant. Ginny was a longtime Grange Member and a faithful member of Polk Grove United Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, doing puzzles and playing cards. Ginny was a 1962 graduate of Sylvania High School. She worked with the Wright Patterson Security Police taking notes from Vietnam Prisoners of War about their experiences, and she volunteered at WACO Air Field.

Ginny is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, John Erbaugh; 2 children, Sarah Wilcox (Andy) and David Erbaugh (Tiffany); 4 grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Victoria and Jude Wilcox; 5 sisters, Phyllis Showler (Jerry), Jean Stieb (Rick), Carol Parcell (Bruce), Mary Wallace (Ron), and Patty Sanford (Chris); along with numerous nieces, nephews, good friends, and her beloved dog, Ebony.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 24 at Polk Grove United Church of Christ, 9190 Frederick Pike, with Rev. George Reed officiating. The family will receive friends at Polk Grove Church from 2:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the American Diabetes Association in Ginny’s memory.
