Wanda L. Hines

HINES, Wanda L., age 88 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1936 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late William T. & Maude L. (Fleenor) Roberts. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by her husband, James Hines; son, Jon; 6 sisters and 8 brothers, Wanda is survived by her 4 daughters, Kimberly Thurman (Floyd), Annette McCray (Mike), Kelly England (Robert) and Jamie Haer (Kevin); 10 grandchildren, Danny, Becky, Stevi, Michael, Sam, Morgan, Ashley, Kiley, Kate and Rachel; 10 great-grandchildren, Cody, Makayla, Cayden, Gracie, Braxton, Colby, Addie, Mila, Maeve and Miller; her great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Isaiah and one on the way; her little buddy Josie (dog); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to Brittany, Angela & the staff at Day City Hospice for their continual compassion and amazing care of Wanda.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 9 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Fund in Wanda’s memory.
