MEADORS, Wanda Miller Howard, age 78, formerly of Vandalia, passed away at her residence in Edgewood, KY, Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was born July 25, 1939 in Greenville, KY, daughter of the late Arnim & Naomi (Manus) Miller. Wanda was a 1957 graduate of Kiser High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She worked for 15 years at NCR, then worked as a Registered Nurse before founding Grandma’s Child Development Center. Wanda was a lifetime member of the Vandalia Church of Christ, where she started the Mother’s Day Out Program in the 1970’s.
Preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Rebecca Miller Wright and 1 son-in-law, Seth Burdette, Wanda is survived by her husband Darryl; son, Ryan Howard of Columbus; daughter, Amanda Burdette of Vandalia; step-sons, Scott & Christopher Meadors; sister, Ruth Miller Naas and husband Norman of Tipp City; brother-in-law, John Wright Jr. of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Treylann Sanders and wife Keonni, Arnim, Amari & Isla Burdette; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Zakery, Emery, & Landen Meadors; great-granddaughter, Reyna Sanders; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and fur babies.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 31, at the Cassel Hills Church of Christ, 836 S. Brown School Rd., Vandalia with Mr. David Edmonds officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
