CAMPBELL, Ward H. age 89 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday September 4, 2005 at Sunrise of Englewood following an illness. He was born March 5, 1916 in Mt Crawford, VA son of the late Roger & Halcie (Hoover) Campbell. He was a retired employee from W.P.A.F.B. Ward was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #668. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha J. Campbell in 2001. Ward is survived by 2 sisters, Ruth V. Brown of Trotwood, and Edna V. Rhoads of Beavercreek; a loving friend Patsy I Delehanty of Vandalia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 7 at 1:30pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Tom Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30pm until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Wards memory.
