Wayne B. Anderson

March 7, 1944 — July 12, 2021

Bernard Wayne Anderson, affectionately known to most as “Wayne”.  Born to the late Melvin Anderson and Winifred Anderson in Kingston, Ontario Canada on the 7th of March, 1944.  Wayne, formally of Dayton, Ohio lived a life of wonder.  Wayne wandered this Earth searching for fun and contentment.  Wayne loved a good time and you knew if you wanted a good time, you invited “Wayne or Uncle Wayne.”  Wayne married the love of his life, Brenda Nardini Theobald, known to many as “Bridget” in 1981.  Wayne brought fun and adventure to Bridget’s life and she brought Wayne balance and contentment to his.  Wayne and Bridget shared a love of family and friends until Bridget’s passing in 1988.

Wayne later married Frieda Heidemarie Lavey, who most knew as “Heidi” in 1994.  Wayne and  Heidi lived in Dayton for a bit then made their way to New Mexico where Heidi later passed in 2017.

Having loved and lost Wayne decided to find his happiness with life long friends.  Whether it was boating or skiing with John and Deb, Greg and the group, adventures and dining with Curtis, Sandy and Jerry or snowmobiling with Ken, it was sure to be a good time.  Wayne made family gatherings fun.  It might have been by poking fun at some of us in the room, it might have been his dancing, or it may have just been quirky Wayne being Wayne.  No matter what it was, Wayne did like to have a good time and people around him were usually laughing and smiling.

Wayne is preceded in death by wife Bridget, Brother David Anderson, Father Melvin Anderson, Wife Heidi and brother-in-law, James Hathaway.

Wayne is survived by his mother, Winifred Anderson, Step children: Chris (Joyce) Theobald and Tammy (Mike) Meyers, Sister Barbara Hathaway, nieces Kelly (Sean) Cavanaugh and Dawn (David) Slates, Sister Marlene Hoover, nephews and nieces Doug (Chris) Hoover, Rob (Audrey) Hoover, Tammy Hoover and Tina (Casey) Trask,   Sister Donna Anderson, nieces and nephews Kim Baileys, Mike (Stephanie) Newton, Jason Newton, Zach (Adi) Marinelli and Sister, Debby (Leland) Wight, niece and nephew Kirsten (Kevin Kauffman) Wight, David (Alicia) Wight and numerous great nephews and nieces.

Wayne, an engineer at MPC, in Dayton Ohio for nearly 35 years met most of his life- long friends there.  He is survived by loving friends, John (Debora) Kiel, Curtis (Sandy) Bailey, Greg Royce, Jerry Johnson, Ken Rader, Bob Appenzellar, Joseph (Nikkie) Steuble and many others.  These friendships nourished his soul and fed his heart for greater than 50 years.  You could say, Wayne never lost a friend. Wayne will be greatly missed by his surviving family and friends.
