Wayne A. Davis

DAVIS, Wayne A., age 82 of Butler Twp., passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Upper Valley Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born February 22, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN, son of the late Orion & Lona (Carr) Davis. Wayne was a U.S. Army Veteran, Past-President and member of the Vandalia Lions Club, a regular member of the Troy Fish & Game Club and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He spent his working years serving a number of family and friends through his calling as a Realtor. He was the Owner of the Century 21 Vintage Realty office of Vandalia, and most recently with Sibcy Cline Realty Group and was a member of the Dayton Board of Realtors.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved pets, Louie & Lily. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly; children, Shelley Kayle (Kevin) and Bryan Davis (Ellen); grandchildren, Jared, Dylan, Bryce, & Kayne, along with many beloved family members and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28 at the Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Monday, November 27 from 5-7 pm. Lions Club Service will be held at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Hospice of Miami County in Wayne’s memory. The family would also like to offer a special thank you to the Dayton VA Medical Center for the exceptional care they provided to Wayne during his illness.
