Age 97, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, Kentucky. Around the age of 12, while bringing the cows in from the pasture, the Lord spoke to him and told him that one day he would preach. He went on to serve in the military and after discharge met the two most important individuals in his life…Jesus Christ and Joan Moody. Wilbur and Joan were married on August 11, 1948. Sensing a Divine call to preach, he attended Olivet Nazarene University, earning his B.A. in Theology and graduating in 1954. Wilbur pastored the Dayton-Radcliff Heights Church of the Nazarene from 1954-1959. He was ordained on July 24, 1958. He then pastored the Felicity Church of the Nazarene (1961-1964); the Lockland Church of the Nazarene (1964-1971). In 1971 Wilbur and Joan were baptized in the Holy Spirit and their ministry advanced to a new level. Faith Fellowship Ministries was founded in 1972 where Wilbur continued to pastor until 2015 and for the remainder of his days was faithful to pray for and minister to those around him. Wilbur traveled as an Evangelist to Great Britain, Turkey, Africa and many places within the United States. He was the founder of the Fellowship of Wesleyan Holiness Charismatics and served with the North American Holy Spirit Renewal Service Committee for 25 years (1979-2004).
