William D Farney

FARNEY, William D., age 76 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Spring Creek Nursing Center. He was born February 24, 1933 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Phillip E. & Lillian (Leach) Farney. Bill was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corporation with over 25 years of service and was a US Air Force Veteran. Preceded in death by 3 sisters, Helen Farney, Elizabeth Betty Shoenfelt & Marjorie Lucile Nickel; and 2 brothers, Harold & Ed Farney, Bill is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, June 15 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until time of service on Monday.
