William Francis Green

GREEN, William Francis, age 71 of Vandalia, passed away July 30th, 2013. He was born April 27th, 1942 in Barrington, Illinois to the late Gerald and Ellen Green. Bill was an accomplished engineer and recently retired from the Federal Civilian Service of the US Air Force with 29 years of service, and was a US Navy veteran. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Ada Louise, and sons Steven, Brian, and Davin, and nine grandchildren. Bill was always respected and loved by a wide circle of family and friends. There will be visitation Sunday afternoon, August 4th, from 2-4 PM at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 5th, at 11:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 405 E. National Rd, with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to St.Christopher Catholic Church in Bill's memory.
