ZULA, William F., age 78 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hearth and Home of Vandalia. He was born April 16, 1936 in Gallipolis, OH, son of the late Andrew F. & Mary F. (Eblin) Zula. William was retired from Gem City Elevator after 45 years of service and was a member of the National Elevator Association Local #11. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis (Greer) Zula; 1 son, Tim Zula of Vandalia; 1 daughter, Terri Armstrong (Doug) of Eldorado; 1 sister, Ruth Fisher of Dayton; 1 brother, Tom Zula (Geri) of Vandalia; 5 grandchildren, Andy Armstrong, Molly Denlinger (Marcus), Jennifer Lingler (Paul), Jacob & Jessica Zula; 2 great-grandchildren, Jameson & Nora; very special friends, Pat & Keith Berry and Janet Williamson, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 30 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Mr. John Seagraves officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service.
