Willie Kazee

Age 92, of Butler Township, passed away Oct. 9, 2016 at The Hospice of Dayton.

He was born in Isonville, KY to Watt and Minnie Kazee, both deceased. Also preceded in death by brothers Paul and Charlie, and sisters Blanche, Jewel, Dorothy, and Sara Ellen, and infant son Terry Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gwendolyn, son Neal Kazee (Janet) of Butler Township and daughter Marsha Yagley (Gary) of Centerville, OH., granddaughters Jessica Copher and Heidi Kazee, grandson Derek Kazee, brother Carl Kazee and many nieces and nephews.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving honorably in France and England, worked as a pipefitter as a member of Local 162, and was a member of the American Legion Post 746, VFW Post 6560, Grande Lodge of KY. Willie loved his family, friends, gardening and fishing.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct 12, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Family service Thursday, Oct 13, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
