COX, Wilma V., age 86 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was born May 22, 1925 in Danville, IL, daughter of the late Edward & Elma (Smith) Foote. Wilma was a retired cafeteria worker with the Northridge City Schools and worked summers in the cafeteria for the Trapshoot in Vandalia. She was a proud graduate of West High in Columbus, Class of 1944. Wilma was a member of the former Beardshear United Methodist Church, now Stillwater United Methodist. Preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Edward in 1990 and 1 brother, James Foote, Wilma is survived by her children, Mark Cox (Terri), Gary Cox, Edward Cox, and Terri Walters (Ron); 3 grandchildren, Dawn Kuhlman (Jason), Amanda Miller & Brandon Miller; 2 great-granddaughters, Abigail & Amelia Kuhlman; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 17 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Marie Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Wilmas memory.
