Winifred R Finch

FINCH, Winifred R., age 95 of Brookville, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Brookhaven Nursing Center. She was born May 20, 1914 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of the late James & Hattie Ralston. Winifred worked as a Bank Secretary in Kansas City, MO for over 42 years, and was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Dayton. Preceded in death by her husband, Manford Finch in 1992, 1 sister, Martha Ralston & 1 brother, Lester Ralston, Winifred is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Henry of MO, and her dear friend, Mary Hessidence, of Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 18 at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1060 Salem Ave., with Rev. Jane Gerdsen officiating. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Marys Convent, 242 Cloister Way, Greenwich, NY 12834 in Winifreds memory.
