Winifred M Warner

WARNER, Winifred M. age 83 of Butler Twp. passed away Monday January 7, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center following an illness. She was born January 10, 1924 in Dayton, daughter of the late James F. & Hazel M. (Davis) Gardner. Winifred was an active participant in the Vandalia Youth Baseball Association for many years. She was preceded in death by one sister Eileen Johnson. Winifred is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Warner; 2 sons Douglas Warner of Butler Twp., Scott & wife Dusty Warner of Vandalia; 2 granddaughters Debra & husband Dave Lopez of NY, Shannon & husband Travis Dixon of Vandalia; 3 great-grandchildren Andrew Lopez, Troy and Lauren Dixon; special nieces Keena & husband Bruce LaVielle, Kelly Edwards; special nephew Kenny Johnson Jr. and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday January 12 from 1 to 3pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Mrs. Warners memory.
