Weston Ben Kelly

Age 82, of Brookville, formerly of Riverside, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at his home. Ben was born May 19, 1940 in Dayton to the late William Grafton & Wilmuth Eugenia (Rosson) Kelly. In addition to his parents, Ben was also preceded in death by one brother, William Daniel Kelly.

He retired in 2005 from Dayton Manufacturing as a sheet metal estimator with 45 years of service. He was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman who enjoyed all the outdoor activities. In his younger years he built and raced cars. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father & grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Ben is survived by his loving wife of the past 64 years; Delores J. (Smith) Kelly; four children, Annette Cabay & her husband, Jake, Ben Kelly, Barbara Habib & her husband, Dan and Jami Deegan; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Brewer & her husband, Michael; brother-in-law, Bill Smith & his wife, Laurie; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday (April 30) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday (5/1) at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at Mt . Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ben to the Alzheimer's Association.
